| MiniDV |
|
This is the most low-cost digital video tape format for filming. It’s still good quality and often used for webcasts and live event coverage, where high specification equipment is not essential. |
| HDV |
|
One of our most popular formats. HDV is the High Definition (HD) version of MiniDV/DVCam. Produces excellent quality pictures for the price. Suitable for most broadcast & corporate video requirements. |
| DVCAM |
|
Slightly higher in quality than MiniDV, it also has a better range of broadcast cameras & lenses to choose from. Widely used by most television broadcasters, including Channel 4 and the BBC. |
| DVCpro25/50 |
|
The DVCPro25 Camera has a slightly higher technical specification than DVCam, whilst DVCPro 50 is at the same quality level as Digital Betacam. |
| Digital Betacam |
|
Digital Betacam offers the highest picture quality using Standard Definition (SD) video. A popular format, used widely in corporate videos and television programmes. |
| IMX |
|
Almost identical to Digital Betacam, uses a more advanced recording format. Produces great high resolution images, with excellent colour & contrast. |
| High Definition (HDCAM) |
|
Produces the highest quality images possible, using digital video. Great for television dramas, documentaries, pop promos and commercials. |
| 16MM / 35MM Motion Picture Film |
|
Both 16mm &
35mm film are still very popular formats for producing high
quality images, with high resolution and colour detail. As
with HDCAM, great for dramas, high end corporate videos and
commercials. |
